Girls 7: River Bend Goes Undefeated?

The River Bend Ravens won the 7th Grade division of the Loudoun County Parks and Recreation Girls Basketball Travel League. The team finished 10-0 during the regular season and then knocked off teams from Western Loudoun and Simpson in the playoffs. In the championship game River Bend defeated a feisty Stone Hill squad, that was 9-1 during the regular season, 36-19.

The River Bend boys 7th grade team won their second straight Loudoun County Parks and Recreation boys basketball travel league championship with a close win in the title game over Belmont Ridge.

River Bend also captured the 8th grade boys championship as well giving Potomac Falls High School and coach Jeff Hawes plenty of talent in the pipeline as River Bend is the middle school that feeds into Potomac Falls.
